American Urgent Care Center offers walk-in geriatric care services.
At American Urgent Care Center, we understand that it’s not easy for the elderly to wait for a long time for an appointment when they are in pain. It is also difficult to sit for long hours in a doctor’s waiting room with stiff, painful joints. This is why we provide efficient geriatric care to walk-in patients without needing an appointment. We attend to our patients as quickly as possible to help control their pain and make them more comfortable.
We help the elderly in our community to feel cared for and understood and give them the confidence to come to us regardless of their symptoms. We not only do pain management but also treat other common ailments like diabetes and high blood pressure.
Here are the medical care services we offer for geriatric patients:
- Steroid joint injections for pain
- Managing arthritis pain
- Primary care
- Treating lacerations
- Medication control
- Cholesterol treatment
- High blood pressure treatment
- Diabetes treatment
We offer caring services at convenient hours to our geriatric patients
Old age can bring with it a lot of health problems. Whether we like it or not, after a certain age, our bodies take longer to heal, and aches and pains become a part of daily life. Chronic pain like that brought on by arthritis can severely affect the quality of life of our elderly loved ones. Arthritic and any other type of pain can make movement difficult and restrict activities which can be very unpleasant for a retiree who enjoys talking walks or catching up with friends for daily activities.
In situations like these, the America Urgent Care Center is your best option. Your elderly relative can't be taken to the emergency room and waiting for a doctor's appointment could mean being in pain for weeks. Geriatric patients are welcome to walk in and seek immediate medical care from fully qualified and experienced medical professionals. Our urgent care center is fully equipped to handle a variety of urgent medical care conditions.
We also offer primary care to geriatric patients to take care of medical conditions that might crop up and affect their health. You can come to us for all non-life-threatening conditions that require immediate medical care but don't qualify for the emergency room. Falls can result in lacerations that can take a long time to heal when not appropriately treated. You or your elderly loved one can come to us to help treat lacerations and wounds to help them heal faster and prevent infections.
Conditions like cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes all need regular monitoring and changes in the dosage of medication from time to time. We can help you monitor your medical conditions and help with medication control. If you are experiencing any symptoms related to a medical condition, you can take a trip down to American Urgent Care Center and we will examine you. We are very thorough and will fully review your medical history, perform an in-depth examination and understand your symptoms and work to treat your condition.
What to expect when you walk in
We are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. At the American Urgent Care Center, Dr, Newman and his team are committed to giving geriatric patients the best in medical care quickly and professionally. Our center is designed to make your visit here as comfortable as possible because we know that you may already be going through a lot. At our center, we do x-rays, lab work, fill out prescriptions, and more. You can get all your urgent medical needs taken care of here.
We do however advise that if you have an actual medical emergency that requires care from the proper authorities, please call 911. The American Urgent Care Center is not a substitute for the emergency room, and in cases where life-saving care is required immediately, you will need to visit a hospital. For all other medical conditions, you can come to us.
